The center with the home-care ambiance is mostly preferred by old people that contain separate bedrooms for individuals with one common room for entertainment. Many centers are well-equipped with small refrigerators and other amenities to make life more comfortable for old age people.

Assisted living facilities are controlled by the guidelines of the state authority. Different states have the separate governing rules, which are created according to specific need of the area for care-services and other requirements. Most of them are paid by private funds except very few homes. Insurance coverage policy for assisted living is one such way of paying the cost of living in adult homes. Certain states have the provision of discounted medical charges for old age people.
